Hello fellow nomad
Hi, welcome to The Capsule Suitcase! My name is Andrea and I’m obsessed with packing light without sacrificing an ounce of style.
I’m a journalist turned tech marketer turned Entrepreneur. I used to be an executive in the web hosting industry and am now the founder of Keiko Furoshiki, a brand of Japanese reusable fabric gift wrap. I am also the Brand Manager at Function House, makers of stylish cannabis accessories. Find out more about what I do on my personal website.
I’m based in Montréal, Canada but I can work from anywhere and try to as much as possible. I most often travel for work, so I share tips I’ve learned as a business traveler including how to pick practical-yet-stylish clothes. I also throw in some travel stories, city guides, and item recommendations that make travel more fun and comfortable.
I blog about travel, fashion, beauty, tech, and health products and services. If you have a product you’d like featured, let’s chat!
Follow my adventures here or on Instagram as I share my tips for curating the perfect capsule wardrobe that fits in a carry-on. You can also find me on Pinterest, TikTok, and YouTube.
How The Capsule Suitcase came to be
In the summer of 2016, my travels were at an all-time high. I was travelling to conferences, team meetups, and just for fun because I worked remotely. That’s when I decided it was time to document my travels.
I didn’t just want to launch a travel blog though. To tell the truth, my travels weren’t all that grandiose or inspirational. What got me excited was packing for trips and helping other professional women streamline the packing and travel experience.
Inspired by the “capsule wardrobe” practice of creating small collections of clothes that mix and match really well, I decided to call my blog The Capsule Suitcase.
